Carcass Identification (Mob Management)

The Knocking Box system is a PC based program which collects live weights, breed, eartag number, operator, and mob number. Typically this is closely linked to NLIS and NAIT (or any) livestock identification and monitoring programs, to maintain livestock identification through the plant processing phase. This information is forwarded to the Kill Floor Manager PC where the information can be included in reports.

The information may be related to barcode or RFID identifiers, for the carcase history to be tracked onward through the de-boning process for; individual carcase yield, operator productivity, carcase traceability (pasture to plate).
